The Business Connection Brea Basic Rules
- Purpose - We are an exclusive leads group committed to promoting our business and the business of others in
the group.
- Meetings - Every Tuesday from 7:15am to 8:30am. The meeting is called to order at 7:30am.
- Dues - $5.00/mo and collected the first Tuesday of each month. There is a $15.00 registration fee.
- Self-Introductions - 30-45 seconds (at discretion of leadership) to promote your product or service. Try to tell
something new or interesting about your business. A time keeper will be appointed. Time keeper receives extra
15 seconds for their introduction.
- Attendance - to maintain your exclusive position, you must he in attendance on a consistent basis. If you must
miss more than one meeting in a 30-day period, you are required to contact the board with your request to
maintain your position in the group. They can accept or reject your request based on past history.
- Tardiness - is unfair to other members in the group. It is a distraction when members arrive late and is
discourteous to the speakers. Failure to be on time for self- introductions forfeits your opportunity to introduce
your business.
- Opportunity - for presenting is offered to members in good standing for at least one month with the group and
scheduled through the speaker chairperson.
- Presentations - should be 10-15 minutes in length, interesting and informative. If you are just doing a
commercial you may lose your audience. From time to time there could be an opportunity for two 10 minute
presentations.
- Web Site - offers the opportunity to have your business featured with other members of the group. After 90
days as a member in good standing, your name will appear on the member page. A space highlighting your
business under a specific category will be provided. There will be a $10.00 fee for any changes to the ad after
initial placement. Fees are payable to the group treasurer. See the webmaster for more information.

- Officers - include, president, vice-president and treasurer and are re-elected every
12 months. Elections take place in December of each year.
- Leads are the core of our existence. It is expected that each member actively provide leads to the group on a
regular basis. Complete a leads form and give one copy to the leads chairperson. Leads will he tracked and
evaluated every 3 months. Members providing the most leads will be acknowledged and honored.
- Guests and new members are the responsibility of all members. The larger our group, the more opportunity
for leads. Be clear on the business category they will represent, as there is no allowance for duplications in the
group.
- Cell Phones & Pagers - please keep cell phones and pagers on mute or off, take calls outside.
- Sponsoring new members - growth of our group is the responsibility of all members
